What is Certification?

Axx certification is a formal recognition that you have met all the requirements of a course, qualification or program of study. It ensures that you have the skills and knowledge required to perform a variety of ministry functions. It serves as an official recognition that you have attained qualifications and expertise in core areas of the Ministry, Bible and Theology.

Axx Explained – Academic Levels

• Certificate – This is an introductory qualification suitable for new or mature believers who are seeking systematic teaching presented in a clear and uncomplicated manner.

• Certification – This is a ministry preparatory qualification which is highly structure and tailored to meet specific needs. These courses are taught at a diploma academic level.

• Advanced Certification – This is a more advanced ministry qualification that builds on knowledge and skills developed at the Certification level. These qualifications are taught at an advanced diploma or entry BA degree level.

• Licentiate – This is a higher academic qualification design for people who are seeking to enter or progress into ministry full-time. These qualifications are taught at upper degree and postgraduate level. 

• MasterClass – These qualifications are for ministry professionals who are seeking to stretch and challenge themselves, their ministry and biblical expertise. These qualifications are taught at the Masters and Doctorate levels.

How is the course delivered?

The course is delivered online with video and questions, plus small discussion groups.

When do I study?

Tuesday is a study day where you will view your course videos and complete reading and the required questionnaires. You will also have group discussions about your course content.

Is there any extra support while I am studying?

Your student co-ordinator, ministry pastor and study group leaders are all available to support you.

Course Units

Core Internship Study: Certification of Local Church Ministry

• Introduction to the Biblical Narrative

  • How to understand & communicate the Bible’s key themes, events, characters and how to apply lessons learnt in my life and ministry.

• Analyse & Apply the Bible

  • How to master the features of a study Bible, to interpret what a biblical passage meant to its original audience and how to apply learnt principles to my life, family and ministry community.

• Personal Management and Spiritual Health

  • How to develop your relationship with God through holistic spiritual and practical disciplines to achieve your God-given destiny and spiritual goals.

• Theology of God

  • How to grasp the true nature of God revealed in the Father, Jesus & the Holy Spirit. You will also learn how to assess personal needs and grow in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit.

• Group Ministry Practice

  •  How to serve, lead and develop your ministry team in a local church or another ministry context.  Your role and responsibilities are made more effective and measured against best practice and biblical standards. Ministry practices are recommended to increase ministry health and effectiveness in light of church/ministry focus.

• Work with and Care for Others

  • How to provide pastoral care for an individual, members of a family or your community. How to effectively work with and serve people whilst developing tools and insights in self-awareness. You will understand how to apply principles and skills to promote effective group harmony and synergy.
